Zac is a 5-year-old, neutered male Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs about 60 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter and is now in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas. Zac is a loyal companion who has a great balance of playful energy and a desire for cuddles. He enjoys spending time with other dogs and is happy to relax next to his people after playtime.
Zac underwent FHO surgery on one of his back legs to address a previous injury. He has fully healed from the procedure, requires no further medical intervention, and is not on any medications.
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys having other dogs around or people nearby to share his life with. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from his FHO surgery and requires no ongoing medical care or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks calmly on leash and does not react to other dogs. He is still learning not to jump up when excited and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training in this area.
