Athena

Athena is a wonderful blend of an adventure buddy and a cuddle companion. She enjoys her walks, diligently keeping an eye out for rabbits and squirrels, but she's equally happy basking in the sun, playing with her favorite elephant toy, or snoozing near her people. She's an athletic, affectionate dog who forms a deep connection with her humans, offering comfort and making them feel special. Athena has a gift for bringing joy and becoming a cherished part of your heart and home.

Ongoing Health

Athena was born in December 2025. Her adoption fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter (if applicable), and a heartworm test (if applicable). She will be up-to-date on flea and heartworm prevention, and a veterinarian will complete a health exam and issue a certificate within 10 days of adoption.

Training & Support

This smart girl thrives on routine and is eager to learn. She already knows "sit" and is working on "fetch," especially with peanut butter rewards.

• Adoption interviews and meet-and-greets are conducted via video call.
• The adoption fee for out-of-state adoptions is $350 plus transport costs.
• Wags reserves the right to deny any application deemed unsuitable for the animal. Adoptions are not first-come, first-served; the goal is to find the best possible home.

Transportation

Athena is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas, but is available for transport to an agreed-upon location.
