MEET ROXIE Roxie thought she had found her forever home. Instead, she found herself in a shelter kennel.
At just 11⁄2 years old, Roxie was surrendered through absolutely no fault of her own. Her family loved her, but without a fenced yard, every potty break and every bit of exercise meant another leash walk, and they could no longer provide the life they felt she deserved.
Now Roxie is hoping someone else will give her the second chance she's been waiting for.
This beautiful girl has so much going for her. She's house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows basic commands, making the transition into her new home even easier. She has a calm, laid-back personality and is happiest just being with her people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for an adventure, Roxie is simply happy to be by your side.
On walks, Roxie gets excited when she spots other dogs and can pull toward them out of curiosity. She would benefit from a front-clip harness and continued leash training to help her become the perfect walking companion. We recommend a dog meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to ensure a good fit. Cats and children are unknown at this time.
Roxie has already lost the only home she's ever known. Let's make sure she doesn't spend another day wondering why.
Come meet Roxie and show her that forever really can last forever. 65lbs If you are interested in meeting Roxie, please visit the shelter during open adoption hours:
