Doctor Pete

Doctor Pete has spent far too much of his life waiting. Before coming to RRR Rescue, he lived on a chain for most of his life and then spent over a year in a rural shelter before finally getting his chance. Despite it all, Doc has remained incredibly sweet, gentle, and optimistic. Doc has a true go-with-the-flow personality. He gets along well with other dogs, loves people, thinks air conditioning is one of life's greatest luxuries, and happily trots into his kennel, which has become his favorite safe place. Years on a chain mean Doc still pulls on a leash, but with patience and consistent training, we believe he'll become a wonderful walking companion. After years of living on a chain and waiting in a shelter, Doc still greets life with a gentle spirit and an open heart. He doesn't ask for much, just kindness, comfort, and a family to call his own. We think it's finally time for this wonderful boy to know what it feels like to be truly cherished.

Doc would fit beautifully into almost any home looking for a laid-back companion. A family willing to spend a little time teaching him leash manners will be rewarded with a loyal best friend who simply wants to be loved.
