Keri is a sweet, well-mannered girl who originally came to us from Kuwait in 2019. She had a tough start, rescued from the desert before making her way to us through a long journey. Though she found her forever home in 2020, she lost it through no fault of her own and is now looking for her perfect match again. Keri is a wonderfully lazy companion who would love a moderately lazy owner. She's a bit overweight and would benefit from a couple of walks a day and a carefully managed diet. She's generally good with dogs her own size but isn't a fan of yippy little dogs and would be content without any canine companions. She's also not a cat person. Keri truly shines when she has one special person to call her own; she's fiercely loyal and devoted. If you're looking for a quiet, true-crime-watching buddy who will be your ride-or-die, Keri is your girl!
Ideal Home
Keri would do best in a home with a moderately lazy owner who can provide her with a consistent walking routine and is mindful of her diet. She would prefer to be the only pet in the home or with a calm, larger dog. She is not a good fit for homes with cats or small, yippy dogs.
Ongoing Health
Keri is dealing with hypothyroidism and is also significantly overweight due to overfeeding and under-exercising. She is currently 25% above her ideal weight of 40-45 pounds.
Training & Support
Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. She doesn't require extensive training, but her new owner will need to be diligent about her diet and exercise to help her reach a healthy weight.
