GINGER

Ginger arrived with a significant injury and was understandably scared. She's a gentle and sweet soul who has made incredible progress thanks to dedicated care. She's still learning to trust and adjust to new situations, but with patience and kindness, she's blossoming beautifully. She loves the outdoors and is a curious explorer, and she absolutely thrives in the company of other dogs, often gaining confidence by following their lead. Ginger is a smart and trainable dog who is eager to love and be loved.

Ideal Home

Ginger would thrive in a calm and patient home where she's given the time and space to adjust. She would do best in a home with at least one other confident dog, as she finds comfort and gains confidence from canine companionship. Because of her fearful nature and potential to be an escape artist, secure and tall fencing is important, and she should not be left unattended in the yard. She should not be placed in a household with very young children, but older children who understand her need for patience would do well. A home that can offer slow and patient introductions to strangers is key.

Ongoing Health

Ginger arrived with a wound on her neck that has healed. No other ongoing health concerns are noted.

Training & Support

Ginger is working on leash manners and can be a strong puller, but she is learning. She is potty trained and not destructive when left alone. She is still learning to trust strangers and may try to flee or back away initially; patience is key. She is not currently crate trained but is quiet and well-behaved once inside. She rarely barks.
