Charlie is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix with a wonderfully laid-back personality and a heart just overflowing with love. He's the type of dog who's happiest simply sharing your time, whether that's lounging around the house or heading out for a pleasant walk together. As he continues to adjust in his foster home, his confidence is blossoming, and it's been an absolute joy to watch his true personality emerge. Charlie is a good boy in every sense of the word. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and thrives on a predictable routine. He's diligently working on his leash manners and is showing fantastic progress with consistent, positive reinforcement. Charlie does get along with other dogs when they're introduced slowly and respectfully. His compatibility with cats is still a mystery.

Charlie would thrive in a patient home that will give him the time he needs to fully settle in and continue building his confidence. Once he feels safe, he's a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be part of the family. Ongoing Health
Charlie is currently heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment. If adopted during this time, Sloan & Finn Animal Rescue will continue to support and cover the remainder of his treatment. He is otherwise neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines.
Training & Support
Charlie is house trained and crate trained. He is currently working on polishing his leash manners and is making great progress with consistency and positive reinforcement.
