Meet Jericho!
Jericho is a small, approximately 3-year-old male bully with a perpetually grumpy-looking face that hides a truly shining personality. This boy is a blast to have around, boasting a big head, little arms, and a heart three times his size! Jericho arrived with us from Tulsa Animal Welfare after being found as a stray in December 2022. He's a smart cookie, knowing commands like sit, shake, speak, sit pretty, and down. His favorite activities include sitting like a human for treats and enthusiastically chasing tennis balls and flying bugs outdoors. Jericho is well-trained, being kennel and potty trained, and he's a quiet companion. He adores Nylabones and can swiftly demolish any toy gifted to him, but he has excellent manners and won't chew on his bedding, kennel, or other inappropriate items. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is even generous about sharing his toys, as long as his canine friends are polite too. Jericho is a bit wary of cats and, while he could likely coexist with them, he'd need supervision as he hasn't lived with them before and may need some time to adapt. Change makes Jericho nervous, and car rides can be particularly frightening for him. However, if he can ride shotgun with his human, he tolerates it better and complains less – we suspect past experiences might have made him anxious about travel. Despite making many friends during his time with us, Jericho has yet to receive an application. We believe he's as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside and are determined to find him the perfect home soon.
Ideal Home
Jericho would thrive in a home where he can continue to feel secure and loved. He's a bit nervous in the car and doesn't like change, so a predictable and stable environment would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Jericho is a healthy boy with no known underlying medical or behavioral issues. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines and prevention.
Training & Support
Jericho is already well-trained in many commands and is kennel and potty trained. He needs a patient and understanding human to help him feel more comfortable with car rides and any changes in his environment.
