Meet Mango! He's a sweet, playful, and affectionate male Jack Russell Terrier x Rat Terrier mix who was born on May 19, 2026. Mango and his siblings found themselves in need of a new home when their owner sadly passed away. Thankfully, these tiny puppies are now safe and sound in a loving foster home where they're receiving all the care and attention they need to grow into happy, healthy companions.
Mango is a small-breed mix, currently weighing just 3 pounds, and he's expected to remain a small dog. Like any puppy his age, he's full of curiosity and is always ready for an adventure. He loves to wrestle with his siblings, discover new toys, and then curl up for a well-deserved nap. Mango is exactly what a puppy should be – sweet, silly, and utterly irresistible! He's been started on vaccinations and is safe and thriving in foster care.

Mango has been started on vaccinations. All dogs in our care are kept up-to-date on heartworm and flea prevention.
Training & Support
As a young puppy, Mango will benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training to help him grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.

- All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other information will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received, we ask that you submit an application. This application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue.
- The adoption fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet.
Transporation
Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans and saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to ensure it's the perfect match!
