BLAZER

Blazer is a 3 1/2 year old mixed breed who is pure sugar! He was brought to us with 10 other dogs due to his previous owner's extended hospitalization. Blazer is super sweet and full of energy, but he needs a little help with his manners, especially learning to keep his enthusiasm in check. He surprised us with how well he sat for photos, considering he's usually more of an action-taker than a poser! Blazer knows "sit" and will do it quickly for a treat. At first, he'd pop right back up or jump for the reward, but this smart and eager-to-please boy quickly learned that holding his sit longer meant the treat came sooner! He truly is a sweetheart who needs some TLC, an outlet for his energy, and a refresher on some skills.

Blazer would thrive in a home that can provide him with an outlet for his boundless energy and patience to help him brush up on his manners.

Ongoing Health

Blazer has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Blazer knows "sit" and is eager to please, but he needs some work on his impulse control, particularly when excited. Positive reinforcement with treats has proven effective in helping him learn to hold his sits.
