Gunny

Meet Gunny, a charming 6-7 year old mini aussie with a heart of gold! Gunny's past was tough, and his body tells a story of neglect. He arrived at Dustin' Time Rescue significantly underweight but has since blossomed to a healthy 20 pounds! His facial scars, including a unique missing part of his lip, give him the most endearing "smile" when he's feeling a bit shy. He spent his life outdoors for breeding purposes and is now discovering the joys of a loving home. Gunny was clearly mistreated in the past, so he can be a bit reserved until he feels safe and trusts you. While he's not a biter, he will shy away from touch if he's scared.

Ideal Home

Gunny would thrive in a home with patient individuals who can help him continue to build his confidence. Due to his past experiences, younger children might be overwhelming for him, but he is comfortable with older children who can approach him gently and calmly. A securely fenced yard is a must for Gunny's safety and comfort.

Ongoing Health

Gunny is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. He is also scheduled for a dental procedure.

Training & Support

Gunny is still learning the ropes of home life and can sometimes mark new places. He will need a consistent owner with patience to help him understand house rules and feel secure.
