Meet Ron - A Gentle Soul Looking for His Chance
Ron is a handsome young pup, approximately 6-8 months old, who is still waiting for his happy ending. While his sisters have already found their forever homes, Ron and his brother remain behind, hoping someone will see the wonderful dogs they can become. He's a sweet, quiet boy who loves treats and absolutely adores children, as they bring out the best in him. Ron's mom is a Chihuahua mix under 20 lbs, and his dad is a Pit Bull/Dachshund mix under 40 lbs, giving him a unique look and an even more unique personality.
Ideal Home
Ron needs a patient, dedicated adopter or foster who understands that trust takes time and is willing to celebrate the small victories along the way. He is pretty growly to other puppies and adult dogs we have brought around him, so he would be perfectly happy focusing on his human family instead. A securely fenced yard is best, or an owner willing to work with leash training.
Ongoing Health
Ron is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Training & Support
New situations can be overwhelming for Ron. He is very shy and tends to shut down when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar environments. He is still working on potty training and has not yet learned to enjoy walking on a leash. With consistency, kindness, positive reinforcement, and a safe place to grow, this young pup has every opportunity to blossom into an amazing adult dog.

Transporation
We are actively considering serious foster homes near California, Missouri, in addition to adopters, as Ron urgently needs more individualized attention and socialization than he is currently receiving. Meet & greet required at potential adopters home!
