Tuffy is a distinguished little gentleman with the personality of a yard goblin, all rolled into one iconic package! He's a 20-pound scruffy terrier mix with a handsome black-and-white coat, a perfectly unbothered beard, and a face that suggests he's either asking for pets or about to offer some life advice in a tiny, raspy voice. Tuffy hails from a property with many dogs, so he's fluent in dog language and understands pack dynamics. He thrives in a home with another dog, as having a canine companion helps him feel safe, confident, and fully himself.
Tuffy is a bit shy when he first meets you, observing and taking notes. However, give him about a day, and he'll decide he's home! Soon, you'll experience little paw taps demanding more pets, serious couch privileges, professional-level window watching, and the occasional, opinionated bark that's as cute as it is sparingly used. He's not a noisy dog, just occasionally vocal. Tuffy is incredibly dog-friendly, playful in a balanced and easygoing way, and happiest when he has both a human to love and a dog buddy to hang with. He's a good, steady presence who settles in beautifully with a bit of patience. Life with Tuffy is a cozy scene: him curled up next to you on the couch like a scruffy sidekick, occasionally demanding pets and giving a soft "boof" to anything suspicious outside. Your other dog can relax nearby, and the whole house will just feel right. He doesn't try to steal the spotlight; he naturally becomes your favorite. If you have a kind home, a little patience, and a dog who can show a newcomer the ropes, Tuffy will gently and sometimes vocally make himself a cherished part of your everyday life.
