Daffy is a delightful 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix, weighing in at a robust 65 pounds. He's a resilient and fun-loving boy who was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, just in the nick of time! Thanks to Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his incredible foster mom, Daffy has been given a second chance and is now eagerly awaiting his furever family. He absolutely adores playing with other dogs and even attends doggy daycare where he's a star student! Daffy thrives on activity and companionship, and he loves to be by his person's side. He enjoys playing catch and is fully house-trained and crate-trained, with his crate being his personal safe haven, especially for meal times. He knows his name and will come running when called, and he uses a slow feeder bowl to savor his meals.
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his boundless energy. Due to his size and exuberance, he'd be a better fit for a home with children over the age of 10, as he can sometimes forget his own strength when excited.

Daffy is still learning leash manners and tends to pull and zigzag, but he's an eager learner who will benefit from guidance.
