Rowan is a Lab/Pittie mix with the sweetest face, adorable floppy ears, and soft puppy-dog eyes that will melt your heart. He's in his calm, post-puppy phase, ready to settle into a loving home.
Rowan is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul. He's not one to demand attention but prefers to quietly observe and offer his company once he feels safe. New people and environments can initially make him nervous, so he needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. He's a bit shy at first, often seeking out quiet corners, but he warms up beautifully when given space and no pressure. The reward for earning his trust is incredibly special – a peaceful, polite companion who will calmly exist by your side.
Ideal Home
Rowan would thrive in a calmer environment with patient people who understand that shy dogs need time to decompress and build trust. A home with a yard and a quieter atmosphere would be ideal, as busy apartment living might feel overwhelming for him. While he hasn't officially been around children, older, calm kids would likely be a better fit. We can conduct a kid-test for interested adopters.
Ongoing Health
Rowan's adoption fee includes all vetting, vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, a heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Rowan is a sensitive boy who is still learning to build confidence in new situations. Patience and understanding are key to helping him feel secure.

Transportation
Rowan is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
