Darcy

My name is Darcy, and I'm a shy but sweet girl looking for a patient and loving family to call my own! I was rescued from a hoarding situation with many other dogs, and coming into rescue was my first experience with living inside and wearing a collar. Walking on a leash was quite a scare at first, and I even managed a brief adventure on my own before being safely reunited with my rescuers. Now, I'm learning to trust and enjoy the company of the volunteers, though I can still be a bit sassy and playful. I'm a smaller Pyr girl with lots of love to give.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a family with a good sense of humor and plenty of patience to help me adjust to life outside of rescue. Because I have limited "real world" experience, a home in a less urban setting would be ideal. I would also need to meet any resident dogs to ensure we get along. A securely fenced-in yard of at least four feet high is a must for me.

Ongoing Health

I am generally healthy and have made great progress since my rescue.

Training & Support

I'm still working on my leash manners and adjusting to new experiences like cars, bikes, and loud noises. I'm a quick learner when motivated by treats and positive reinforcement, and I'm eager to please my future family.
