Dawa is a 9-year-old French Bulldog who was found as a stray in the Bronx and brought to the NYC Animal Care Centers. She was pulled to safety by our bulldog specialist. Dawa is wary of strangers and will need a patient adopter to earn her trust. She is looking for a home where she can reign as the Queen she is!

Ideal Home

Dawa is looking for a home with older children (16+) and would prefer to be the only pet. She is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Dawa is spayed and weighs 34 lbs.

Training & Support

Dawa will require a period of adjustment to build trust. During this time, do not force interaction; allow her to approach you when she feels comfortable. She may test your patience with a stubborn demeanor and intense scrutiny. Trust will be earned through consistent, quiet presence, and she may reward your efforts with a nod or a lean.
