Meet Blondie — a sweet and gentle soul who has survived far more than any dog ever should.

Blondie was abandoned in La Marque and left to fend for himself, hiding underneath a house while trying to survive. A kind person began feeding him and posting him online in hopes someone would rescue him, but for over a month, nobody stepped forward. Tragically, Blondie was even rolled under a car shortly before rescue, though somehow he walked away unharmed.

Through all of it, Blondie never lost his loving spirit.

He is incredibly affectionate and deeply attached to his people. He follows his foster family from room to room simply because he loves companionship and feeling close to those he trusts. He’s wonderful with children, does great with other dogs, ignores cats completely, and appears to be house trained.

Blondie can be shy around strangers at first and may bark when someone unfamiliar approaches, but once he realizes he’s safe, his goofy and loving personality comes out beautifully.

Because he’s experienced abandonment, Blondie does struggle with separation anxiety. He doesn’t become destructive — he simply cries because he’s afraid of being left again. More than anything, Blondie needs a family willing to offer patience, reassurance, and lifelong commitment.
