About Roo

Roo is a darling young girl, about 8 months old and weighing around 45 lbs, who came to us as a stray. Though she was initially timid, she quickly blossomed into a sweet marshmallow with adorable scruff. She's got a puppy-like charm and a low-to-moderate energy level, enjoying her squeaky toys but also content to relax. Roo is wonderfully gentle and submissive with other dogs, big or small, and would love a playful canine companion to share her life with. We haven't observed her with cats, but given her sweet and gentle nature, we anticipate she'd be a wonderful addition to a feline-friendly home as well. Roo will be participating in the Paws in Prison program for 8 weeks, where she'll learn basic obedience and build her confidence. We're hoping to find her a loving home ready for her graduation!

Ideal Home

A home with another playful dog, either small or a gentle larger companion, would be ideal for Roo to thrive.

Ongoing Health

Roo is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Roo will be receiving basic obedience training through the Paws in Prison program. She is eager to please and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and a patient approach to help her build confidence.
