Frappe

Frappe is a small, sweetie seeking a fresh start and lots of love! She's a 1.5-year-old, 11.5 lb Chihuahua mix with a shy disposition. Frappe landed in a shelter through no fault of her own but is ready to close that chapter and eagerly look forward to a future filled with sniffy walks, world exploration, and snuggles. She promises loyal companionship for all her days to those who give her a chance.

Ideal Home

Frappe needs a patient and understanding adopter who can help her see the world. She also needs a confident, welcoming resident dog to show her the ropes and help her build her confidence.

Ongoing Health

Frappe tested positive for heartworms, but she is receiving treatment provided by the rescue. Heartworm is not contagious and after treatment, dogs can live full, active lives with no significant long-term effects, as long as they are kept on monthly heartworm preventative. She will need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss her treatment progress!

Training & Support

Frappe is shy and needs extra love and patience. She is working on crate training, and we cannot guarantee she is housebroken.

Transporation

Frappe is currently at Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus. She needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get there!
