Hi, my name is Granite! Don't let my name fool you, I am the softest and cuddliest boy around! I love nothing more than following my foster dad and foster siblings around so I can get all the pets and love. I came here from New Mexico to find my forever home. My mom is a Pitbull/mix, and my dad is a Boxer; they had a litter of seven, but only five of us came to Minnesota. I am doing very well on potty training but still have the occasional accident. When I go outside, I do very well at going potty right away. I am working on loving my kennel, but I just want to be out with my foster friends. At night, I sleep in my kennel outside my foster dad's bedroom. I have mastered "sit" and am working on "stay," "place," "come," and "down." My most valuable rewards are treats and a good boy! I see squirrels and bunnies in the backyard, but I don't really mind them. I also don't like to bark because I don't like to yell at my friends. In my foster home, I live with two dogs: a 2-year-old male Pitbull/Bulldog mix who is grumpy, and I've learned to respect his space. I also live with a 2-year-old Pitbull/Rottweiler female mix who loves to play with me, and I do so well when she corrects my play habits. I also love to share my toys with her, and we each chew on the ends of a bone when we are tired from playing. I also share a yard with a Husky and Weimaraner, who I always shower with kisses when I see them. I did meet the cat who lives in the downstairs unit, and I didn't really mind him. My foster dad loves to have people over, and I love to make new human friends and snuggle on the couch when they let me. That being said, I would love to meet YOU! Granite is sponsored by Pat C.
Ideal Home
Granite would love a home where he can get lots of pets and attention. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown to be respectful of a grumpy older dog. He also enjoys playing with another female dog his size. He didn't mind the cat he met and would likely be okay with a feline friend. He enjoys making new human friends and would do well in a home that entertains guests.
Ongoing Health
Granite is still working on his kennel training and prefers to be out with his family.
