Catfish is a sweet senior lady, around 8 years old and weighing 69 lbs. She came to us as a stray, bearing the marks of a difficult past. The shelter environment was quite overwhelming for her, and sadly, she became ill and was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a wonderful foster stepped in and saved her just in time! Catfish has a tremendous capacity for love, but she's still learning how to comfortably receive it. She can be a bit too enthusiastic when seeking affection, wanting to be as close as possible, but this stems from her newfound experience of kindness, not from being pushy. With a patient and gentle approach, she's realizing that love can be calm and safe. She's dog-neutral and would do best with a well-behaved canine companion who understands and respects her personal space. Catfish is ready to trade her past for a future filled with love and cherished moments.
Ideal Home
Catfish would thrive in a home where she can continue to learn about love and kindness at her own pace. She is good with kids and dogs, but she prefers the company of well-behaved dogs who respect her boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Catfish has some scars from her past, but no specific ongoing health conditions are noted.
