About Cally
Cally is a 3.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull mix who weighs about 40 pounds. She’s a high-energy, happy-go-lucky girl with a huge heart and an even bigger personality! Cally is playful, affectionate, curious, and endlessly kind – the type of dog who brings joy and laughter everywhere she goes. She loves other dogs of all sizes and plays beautifully with both males and females. She could play for up to two hours non-stop and would love a canine companion, but she'd also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of playtime and activity. Cally is excellent with children of all ages and is always gentle and friendly. She is also very welcoming to strangers and enjoys meeting new people. Cally is fully crate trained, house trained, and does great in a car kennel. She sleeps quietly through the night and can nap during the day as long as she's had potty breaks and at least an hour of play. While she is house-trained, she is still learning to be trusted with full freedom indoors and needs supervision to prevent her from helping herself to shoes or blankets. She does not have separation anxiety and is usually fast asleep when you return from errands. She does best sleeping alone in her crate; if left loose or crated with another dog, she may get into mischief. Cally needs to be fed separately from other dogs, as she is uncomfortable eating near them. Feeding her in her crate works beautifully and keeps everyone stress-free. She does not guard toys or treats. Cally loves toys and enrichment and can entertain herself for long periods. She is very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. One of her most charming traits is the biggest, silliest smile she gives when receiving affection! She's also a world-class cuddler and behaves exceptionally well on the couch to keep her spot. Every now and then, she gets spontaneous zoomies and runs so fast she looks like a baby goat flying through the house!
Ideal Home
Cally needs daily playtime and chances to run (at least twice a day), a crate to decompress in, plenty of toys, and a person or family willing to keep up with her energy and continue her training.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions were mentioned in the listing.
Training & Support
On leash, Cally may pull at the beginning out of excitement, but she calms down and walks much better once settled. Continued leash training will help her shine even more. She needs supervision indoors until she is more reliable with her house training.
