About Hunter

A SMART, SWEET & ADORABLE PUPPY: Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 17 lbs. & growing

Hi there, I'm Hunter! I'm a darling little puppy who somehow found myself at animal control, and I'm so grateful to be with Mostly Mutts now! I'm loving my time with the wonderful volunteers and can't wait to meet the family who will call me their own! I'm the cutest little puppy with a fun, smart, friendly, and playful personality! I'm super sweet, happy, and love being with people. Even though I'm full of puppy energy, I was wonderfully calm during my bath and just looked up with my peaceful, soulful eyes. Like all puppies, I'm in the mouthy stage of life, so having lots of appropriate toys to trade for things I shouldn't chew helps keep me on the right track. I also do a little excitement peeing when I get especially happy, like when I first come out of my kennel, so a calm greeting helps with that. I love playing tug with my toys and even enjoy my own version of fetching with puppy toys - I may not bring it back to you - hehe! Toys are some of my favorite things, and as a happy puppy, I'm always ready for playtime, fun adventures, and all the wonderful things that come with being a puppy.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog, including how not to puppy mouth you and the kids, so we'll all be happy! I haven't met kids yet, so let's meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over. I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let's meet! Cats are unknown.

Ongoing Health

I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I'm also micro-chipped and neutered.

Training & Support

I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already learned the sit, stay, come, and drop it commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them. I'm doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. I'm having accidents on the shelter schedule, so I'll need my new family to potty train me on a good schedule with positive reinforcement. Let's continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs once I've had all my puppy shots.
