Boone

Sweet Boone is a 2-year-old, neutered Chihuahua/Dachshund mix weighing approximately 18 pounds. He has the kindest face and the most soulful eyes, and his gentle nature shines through despite a difficult past. Boone was rescued from a hoarding situation where he had limited human interaction, but he has remained incredibly sweet and eager for love. He's making steady progress in learning that the world can be a safe place and will thrive with a patient family who understands that trust is earned through kindness and consistency. Watching Boone gain confidence and come out of his shell is a truly rewarding experience.

Ideal Home

Boone would do best in a calm, patient home that will continue his socialization and help him build confidence at his own pace. A quieter home environment is recommended, and a friendly, confident resident dog could be a great companion to help him learn that new experiences are not scary.

Boone is a neutered male and is up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Boone is learning to walk on a leash and continues to gain confidence with gentle encouragement. He does well in his crate, which he sees as a safe space. Positive reinforcement, predictable routines, and compassionate guidance will help him continue to thrive.
