July is a sweet and affectionate 8-year-old, 59-pound spayed female Pitbull mix who is ready to bring brightness to your life! She was rescued from a county shelter in Houston, Texas, and has adjusted wonderfully to both apartment and house living. July is a true companion, happiest when she's by your side, whether resting her head on your chest or soaking up some good scratches.
Ideal Home
July has a moderate energy level and enjoys a couple of walks a day, playtime with toys, and the occasional zoomie. She's also perfectly content to settle in for cuddle time afterward. She has shown to be friendly with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, but she's also happy to be your one-and-only. While she hasn't been tested with cats, her gentle nature suggests she could do well in a home with them. Because she is a larger, stronger dog, supervised play with very young children is recommended. She will thrive in any home, apartment or house, as long as she has people to love and a cozy spot to snuggle.
Ongoing Health
July is fully house-trained with no accidents and is comfortable in her crate. She is generally non-destructive but may occasionally "borrow" an unattended sandal, so keeping shoes picked up is a good idea.
Training & Support
July walks nicely on a leash with minimal pulling and responds well to guidance. She would benefit from continued leash training.
