Sheila is a 1-year-old, 14-pound sweetheart with a gentle, loving personality and a heart full of affection. She gets along well with children and cats, though she prefers the company of people over other dogs. Sheila has a medium energy level and enjoys a calm lifestyle. She is crate trained, affectionate, and loves being cuddled, petted, and showered with attention. While she is generally friendly with other dogs, she can be a bit dominant at times and prefers not to share her food.
Sheila’s rescue story is a heartbreaking reminder of why rescue matters. She was abandoned in a drainage hole at the edge of a hillside neighborhood, a place where unwanted dogs are often dumped. Concerned neighbors saw her there and contacted us for help. When Sheila was rescued, she was in poor condition and covered in large ticks, but with proper care and treatment, she made a full recovery.
Today, Sheila is a healthy, loving dog who is ready to leave her difficult past behind. She is looking for a forever family who will give her the love, security, and companionship she deserves. In return, she will offer loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of devotion. 🩷🐾
