Trooper

Hello there! My name is Trooper, and I'm a young pup with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love to give. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, and while I'm still learning the ropes, I thrive with supervision. My journey started a bit rough – I was hit by a car, but thanks to my FHO surgery, I'm doing wonderfully! I absolutely adore people and children, and I'm not shy about seeking out attention and belly rubs. I think one day I might even become a snuggle bug! I currently live with other dogs and am friendly towards them, especially those who are smaller or my size. Bigger dogs can be a bit intimidating, but my foster mom is patiently helping me gain confidence. I've also been cat-tested and passed, so I can adjust to a home with a dog-savvy feline friend. My toy collection is impressive – chew toys, stuffies, squeakers, and balls are my jam! Perhaps you could teach me how to play fetch? I also enjoy car rides and am learning new commands. I walk nicely on a leash, though I can get a little defensive when I see other dogs on walks until I feel secure.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for an active family who can provide a confident, non-reactive canine companion to help me feel safe. Patience and consistency are key to my continued recovery and happiness.

I am recovering from an FHO surgery and am doing very well.

Training & Support

I can be a little defensive around other dogs when I first see them on walks, but I'm working on building my confidence. Consistent training and a secure environment will help me thrive.
