Buddy Love (GA)

Our 2-year-old Buddy Love was found in poor condition in a rural area and was brought to us by a good Samaritan. Buddy understandably had little trust in humans upon arrival at his foster home, but he is now healthy, weighing 55 lbs with a beautiful, shiny coat and perfect eyeliner. He has learned to be a very good house dog; Buddy is reliably housetrained and nondestructive, and is allowed full roam of the house at night and when his people are away. He prefers to sleep on a chair in the living room or a dog bed. He gets along famously with the other hounds in his foster home, and seems to enjoy having a canine companion to boost his confidence. Buddy can run like the wind with his long legs and thoroughly enjoys a good romp in the fenced yard with the other dogs, where he takes his job of keeping squirrels out of the yard very seriously. He is good in the car and on lead.

Ideal Home

Buddy would not be well-suited to a noisy urban lifestyle. Cats are an unknown, but could be tested.

Buddy is healthy and has a beautiful, shiny coat.

Training & Support

Buddy is reliably housetrained and nondestructive. He can be slow to warm up to new situations and people, but gains confidence with the help of canine companions.
