Sausage - Breakfast Litter

Meet Sausage, a playful pup from the Breakfast Litter! Sausage and his siblings arrived with us on February 23rd. They were surrendered by an Amish breeder who could no longer care for them due to being mixed breed. While we were initially told they were born on December 11th, we suspect their actual birthday is closer to January 1st, as they haven't started losing their baby teeth yet. Sausage is one of the larger pups in the litter and is currently being fostered with his brother, Pancake. He's soaking up all the knowledge from the resident dogs, making great strides in potty training (nearly 100% there!) and basic obedience. Sausage absolutely adores playing outside, especially if there's a hose or sprinkler involved! Once he's tired out from playtime, he's a champion cuddler.

Ideal Home

Sausage would thrive in a home with another dog and no cats. He needs an adopter who can provide consistent supervision and take him out to potty every few hours, including overnight, regardless of the weather. A stay-at-home parent, someone who works from home, or a household with rotating schedules would be ideal to ensure Sausage gets the attention he needs.

Training & Support

Sausage is doing well with potty training and basic obedience, but adopters should be prepared to continue these efforts. He needs an adult present approximately 24 hours a day to help him succeed.
