We're so excited to officially welcome 30 new rescue pups to Oregon! These deserving dogs recently made the long journey from Mexico and arrived safely here in Bend thanks to our incredible rescue partners working tirelessly outside of Cancun and Mexico City. Many of these dogs come from difficult circumstances, but despite everything they've experienced, they arrived with hopeful hearts ready for a fresh start and brighter future here in the Pacific Northwest. Over the coming days and weeks, we'll be getting them settled into temporary foster homes where they can decompress, receive lots of love and care, and begin adjusting to life here in Oregon. As they settle in, we'll also be learning much more about each dog's unique personality, energy level, social skills, quirks, and individual needs. Right now, many of these pups are still brand new to us, so we appreciate everyone's patience while we work through medical vetting, foster placement, temperament observations, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into responsibly preparing dogs for adoption. We're incredibly grateful for the teamwork that made this rescue effort possible and can't wait to watch these dogs begin their next chapter surrounded by safety, kindness, and community support.
Here's an update on Kim: She is a smart and sweet pup who is potty trained and willing to go into her pen with a treat, remaining quiet. She loves being outside and plays continuously. She's a little escape artist, but has been successfully contained. Kim rode well in the back seat of a truck during transport and gets along well with other dogs. She is pretty good on a leash and shows a playful curiosity towards cats.
