Mocha

Hello there! My name is Mocha, and I'm an adorable brindle puppy with lots of cute white markings, including a little white tip on my tail that loves to curl! My foster mom tells me I'm a pretty pup, and I think so too! I absolutely love being with my people and have made a great friend with the other foster dog in the house. My favorite spot is right by my foster mom's side, whether I'm following her around or curling up near her while she works from home.

I'm working hard on my potty training and have a wonderful role model in my foster sister who's showing me the ropes. Since I'm still learning, I need to go out frequently, but I'm so proud of myself for not having any recent accidents indoors! My foster mom is really impressed with how quickly I'm catching on, and soon I'll be able to let her know when I need to go outside.

Because I love to be around my humans, learning that my kennel is a safe space is a work in progress. I'm getting better at settling in each day, and at night, I mostly sleep in my kennel. Sometimes, after my early morning potty break, my foster mom lets me snuggle with her for a few hours or for naps – it's the best! I already know how to sit and play fetch, and I'm learning to "leave it" and walk nicely on a leash. With so many interesting smells, I don't always walk in a straight line yet! As a young pup, obedience training will be a great way for me to bond with my new family, and I'm a quick learner, especially from watching my foster sister. I thrive on praise and am happy to do tricks for treats! I haven't met any children yet, but I'm sure I'd love them! Since I'm still a puppy, I can be a bit mouthy, and my tiny teeth are sharp. I currently live with a wonderful 2-year-old female foster dog who I look up to. I love playing with her and snuggling up. I'm a very playful and tenacious puppy. I'm learning to respect her boundaries when we play, and I'll be submissive if things get too rough. I enjoy chasing blowing leaves in the yard, playing with my foster sister, and fetching my favorite penguin ball. I'm also great at checking in with my foster mom and coming back to her when we're exploring the yard.

Ideal Home

I would love an active family that will channel my energy with activities like playing fetch and going for walks. Since I'm still learning to be comfortable in my kennel, I'd love a family that is home often to help me with regular potty breaks.

I am working on potty training and kennel training. I am also learning to "leave it" and walk nicely on a leash. I would benefit from ongoing obedience training as I am a smart and quick learner. I am still mouthy as a puppy.
