Armadillo

Armadillo is a smart and affectionate Shepherd mix who absolutely loves cuddles and kisses! This bright girl has a remarkable "ball drive" and underwent significant training, even being considered for TSA or K-9 work. However, Armadillo decided that the life of an independent contractor suited her better, especially when it meant more time for zoomies with her foster brother. She's truly an amazing dog who is looking for the right person to understand her unique spirit.

Ideal Home

Armadillo would thrive in a home with retired canine military personnel, K-9 Law Enforcement Officers who understand her drive, or an active family with a big yard, plenty of throw toys, and no other pets. She is good with older/considerate children and adults and does well in the car. She is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Armadillo is current on vaccinations, has been spayed, and is microchipped. She is also up-to-date on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Armadillo is leash-trained and crate-trained and enjoys playing fetch with her toys. Our adoption process includes a foster period of 4-6 weeks, during which we are available to answer any behavior or training questions you may have to ensure a smooth transition.

Transportation

Armadillo is currently located in the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes. Local adoptions are preferred as meeting the dog is a crucial part of our adoption process. We do not ship animals.
