Hank is a sweet, playful, and curious 5-month-old puppy who weighs about 17 pounds. We believe he's a Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix, but in rescue, that's just a fun guess! Hank's story is one of hope; he's one of the many puppies from an area with high euthanasia rates, and by choosing him, you're not only saving his life but also making space for another animal in need. He's described as cuddly and loves to play with his siblings before settling in for naps – the quintessential puppy life! You can even see a video of him here: https://youtu.be/fIdE2av0nxc. We provide personality and behavioral insights to help ensure Hank is the right fit for your family, and you're welcome to do a FaceTime call to meet him before finalizing his adoption.
Ideal Home
Hank will thrive in a home that can commit to the dedication, training, and socialization that puppyhood requires. He's still discovering the world and shaping his personality, so a consistent routine, clear boundaries, and proper socialization from the start are key.
Ongoing Health
Hank will receive all necessary vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He will also be tested for heartworm and treated if necessary.
Training & Support
Hank will need a family committed to his training and socialization. We require that all adoptive families crate train their new puppy immediately upon arrival to aid in potty training, energy management, and overall development into a well-rounded adult dog.
