Daffy is a resilient 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing around 65 pounds. He's a fun-loving, playful guy who absolutely adores other dogs and thrives on activity and companionship. Daffy was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, just in the nick of time, and is now ready for his second chance at a furever family. He's already made the honor roll at doggy daycare, channeling his enthusiasm in a positive way. Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he knows his name, coming when called. He enjoys playing catch and being by his person's side.
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Because of his size and exuberance, he'd be a better fit for a home with children over 10, as he can sometimes be unaware of his strength when excited.

Training & Support
Daffy is still learning leash manners and tends to pull and zigzag, but he is eager to learn with guidance. When left unsupervised, he may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and training, he'll continue to grow into the wonderful companion he's meant to be.

Transportation
Daffy is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to an approved adopter. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
