Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big personality! He's estimated to be just over 1 year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While he's likely a pittie mix, his exact breed and age are our best guess. Bear is eager to learn and very treat-motivated, making him a joy to train. He absolutely adores human interaction and will happily be by your side, soaking up attention or just lounging nearby. Bear is already house and crate trained, a true pre-programmed skill set!
Ideal Home
Bear is still a bit of a puppy and needs continued guidance, especially on leash when he sees other dogs. He can get a little too enthusiastic during play, so a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful nature would be a great match. He has shown he can be respectful of boundaries with other dogs and with slow introductions and the right doggy friend, he'll be a wonderful playmate. He also showed curiosity and restraint with a house cat, so with a dog-savvy, confident feline friend and slow introductions, he may be able to live peacefully with cats. Bear would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy boy with no specific health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Bear is a work in progress as he continues to learn about the world. He'll need continued guidance on leash to manage his excitement around other dogs. He responds well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. While he can be a bit pushy in play initially, he learns to respect boundaries, as evidenced by his interaction with a chihuahua in his foster home. Enrichment puzzles are a great way to keep his brain engaged!
