Dorito has already lived through more than any puppy ever should. He and his sister, Sabrita, were the only survivors from a litter of ten. Neglected, surrendered, and failed by the people who should have protected them, their story took another heartbreaking turn when Sabrita was run over by a car belonging to their own “family.”

This gentle, playful boy greets the world with softness and trust. He loves belly rubs, toys, car rides, and curling up with his sister. He is easygoing, affectionate, and social with everyone he meets. ✨ Male, puppy ✨ Potty & leash trained ✨ Friendly, playful, and sweet ✨ Great with kids 10+ ✨ Can be tested with cats

Dorito would thrive in a loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished. While it would be a dream for him and Sabrita to be adopted together, they will also do beautifully on their own. For anyone looking for a bonded pair, these two are pure magic.

Dorito is with a small rescue in Bucerias. They are not on Petfinder so we try to help them by adding their dogs. Please reach out if you're interested in Lola and we will pass your application on to them.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

⚠️ It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border — this remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward. 🐾✈️❤️
