A little about them
Meet Freya, a sweet, playful, and wonderfully goofy Doberman who loves her people, toys, car rides, walks, and outdoor adventures. At 2.5 years old and 68 pounds, she is an affectionate, loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a quiet way of showing love—usually by relaxing right beside you.
Freya is friendly, curious, independent, and well-mannered. She may be shy in new situations and timid when first meeting unfamiliar dogs, but she is not aggressive and warms up quickly once she feels safe. She enjoys running and playing with canine friends and would thrive with a patient, active family ready to include her in everyday life.
Ideal Home
Freya would love an active home with people who enjoy walking, biking, hiking, running, car rides, and outdoor play. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, though she would also enjoy an active family committed to regular exercise and enrichment.
She is great with men, women, children of all ages, cats, and other dogs. Her family should understand that she may need patience and reassurance while settling in, especially around unfamiliar people, dogs, storms, and periods of separation. Freya has some storm anxiety and separation anxiety, and calming CBD has worked well for her.
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention. She has no known health concerns. A health certificate will be provided before transport.
Training & Support
Freya is house trained, crate trained, food motivated, and walks well on a leash. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Crate, Leave It, and House; when told “House,” she comes and sits between your legs. She sleeps comfortably in her crate overnight and stays crated when her family is away.
Freya has a fairly high squirrel prey drive, but she responds well to “Leave It” and redirection. Her favorite squirrel-shaped toys are a great way to keep her engaged.
