Meet Erling!

Erling is a sweet young girl who came to us as a very fearful dog. She was initially wary of all interactions, preferring to keep her distance. However, with time and patience, Erling has begun to blossom! She's now eating regularly, allows us to sit with her, and has even been comfortable enough to be leashed and have her mats professionally groomed away. While she is still learning to trust, her progress shows her desire to connect. We believe she spent some time on her own, which has shaped her, but with consistent love and kindness, we're confident we can help her embrace her playful puppy side.

Ideal Home

A patient and understanding home where Erling can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. A quiet environment with minimal stress would be most beneficial for her.

Ongoing Health

Erling is up-to-date on vaccinations. She was not spayed prior to arrival.

Training & Support

Erling is still learning to trust people and may be shy in new situations. Consistent, positive reinforcement will be key to her continued development.

Erling is located at Hanover County Animal Protection in Ashland, VA. Transportation may be available to approved adopters.
