Louie

Louie is a 6-month-old blue brindle Pitbull Terrier mix who's ready to find his forever family! This resilient lovebug had a rough start, arriving at the shelter in poor condition. Thanks to dedicated care, proper nutrition, supplements, and swim therapy (which he absolutely loves!), Louie's front legs are back to normal. He's a smart and food-motivated pup who recently graduated from a puppy program, making training a breeze. Louie is crate trained and working on his house-training. He walks well on a leash and doesn't react to other dogs. Louie is an energetic and outgoing adventurer who enjoys walks, playing outside, and exploring new things. After some activity, he loves nothing more than to snuggle up for a nap.

Ideal Home

Louie is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention. He would do best in a home without cats as he tends to chase them. He also plays too roughly with other dogs and doesn't pick up on their social cues, so a home without other dogs would be ideal. Louie benefits from plenty of exercise, activity, and mental stimulation.

Ongoing Health

Louie is neutered and microchipped. He's up-to-date on his rabies, Bordetella, distemper, lepto, and Lyme vaccines. He is also current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Louie is a quick learner and excels with positive reinforcement due to his food motivation. He is crate trained and is progressing well with house-training. Continuing his training will help him thrive. A 6-week Manners & More obedience class will be donated to his adopter to help with his continued success.
