Bellona is a 4-month-old Pit Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who is as smart and beautiful as she is loving! She's a thoughtful and independent pup, but still loves all the fun of being a puppy, from playing with her siblings to cuddling up for naps. Bellona is observant, eager to learn, and always ready for a new challenge. She absolutely adores attention and affection but is also confident enough to entertain herself, striking a wonderful balance of independence and companionship.
Ideal Home
Bellona would thrive in a home that can provide patience, consistency, and plenty of love. Families with young children should be prepared to reinforce polite manners and supervise interactions due to her enthusiastic greetings. Introductions to cats should be slow and supervised.
Ongoing Health
Bellona is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable.
Training & Support
Bellona already knows how to sit and has quickly learned commands like "paw," "lay down," and "stay." She is highly food-motivated, making training enjoyable. She is doing very well with potty and crate training, following a structured routine. Bellona is also working on impulse control, especially around meal times, and has shown impressive self-control. She is learning that not all dogs want to play rough and benefits from structure, guidance, and positive reinforcement.

Transporation
Bellona is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real time.
