I'm AhRue, a 5-year-old, almost 70-pound Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I'm the perfect blend of chill and playful – whether you're looking for a couch potato for Netflix marathons (I'm a sucker for reality TV with juicy secrets!) or a hiking buddy for conquering a fourteener, I'm ready for adventure. I've got the basics down: I'm housebroken, crate trained, and working on my leash skills. While I might start a walk with a bit of enthusiasm, I quickly settle into a nice rhythm. I take my time getting to know new people, so slow introductions are key for me.
Ideal Home
I'd do best in a home without young children. Once I trust you, you'll have a loyal, affectionate companion who is devoted to her person. I currently get along well with dogs my size and prefer canine friends who can match my energy; I'm not a fan of tiny dogs. Good news for cat lovers: I live with a cat and we're pals! I'd be happy in an apartment or a home with a fenced yard.
Ongoing Health
My adoption fee of $150 includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.
Training & Support
I'm working on my leash skills and can come in a bit strong at the start of a walk, but I settle in nicely. I'm housebroken and crate trained.
Application Details:

- We do adopt out of state with vet references and a video home check.
- Adopters are responsible for picking up their new pet and returning them if the adoption does not work out.
- We do not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please be 100% committed before adding a pet to your home.

I am located in Springfield, MO. Adopters are responsible for transportation to and from my location.
