Meet Goose!
Goose is a spirited three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a delightful blend of speckled charm, boundless energy, and sun-soaked silliness. Her tan and white coat is speckled like a giraffe, and her expressive face is full of personality. At 55 pounds, she's a wonderful mix of intelligence, playfulness, and affection. Goose is curious and energetic, true to her working-dog roots, and thrives when she has space to roam, explore, and play. She's happiest in open areas with other dogs, enjoying doggy daycare, group hikes, or galloping across her favorite 17-acre off-leash dog park. In the evenings, she transforms into a snugglebug, ready to curl up beside you!
Ideal Home
Goose would flourish in a rural or countryside home with a large, securely fenced yard. She'd love to have another friendly dog or two to play with, and a guardian who understands the needs of sensitive, reactive pups. Goose is good with older children, but due to her tendency to get jumpy and mouthy when excited, a home without young children is best. She has a high prey drive and tends to chase cats, squirrels, and birds. While she has recently started coexisting peacefully with farm cats and chickens at her current boarder's rural property, a home without small pets would be ideal for her safety and their well-being.

Training & Support
Goose has been through formal training and knows a wide variety of commands, including sit, come, leave it, touch, and place. She has great recall and is eager to please, especially with treats! However, she is highly sensitive to certain city-life triggers like scooters, skateboards, and sudden movements. She has been reactive when startled and has had a past bite incident, highlighting her need for a calmer, more predictable environment. Consistent positive reinforcement and gradual introductions to new stimuli will be key to her continued success.

Transporation
Goose is located in Berkeley, CA. She is open to a long-distance adoption and can be transported to a suitable new home.
