Lady Lucy is a bright and energetic 2-year-old female mixed breed, weighing around 40-45 lbs. She's a beautiful tan and brindle girl with distinctive black markings and white on her face, chest, and paws. Lucy is a fast learner, especially when tasty treats are involved, and her foster mom raves about her intelligence. She enjoys playing gently and has learned a lot from her Husky foster brother. While she may be a bit shy initially, once she trusts you, her fun-loving and goofy personality truly shines!
Ideal Home
Lucy needs a home where she can safely enjoy "yard zoomies" for about 20 minutes a day. She thrives on exercise and needs space to sprint. While she isn't a flight risk and will likely come back to you, she can get anxious in new situations. She is scared of rambunctious children and would do best in a home without them. Due to a prey drive, she cannot live with cats or other small animals. An apartment is only an option with significant training and extensive exercise.
Ongoing Health
Lady Lucy is spayed and has no known medical issues.
Training & Support
Lucy is house-trained and crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and comfortable space. She can get nervous when left alone or loose in the house, making the crate her preferred den. Walks can be overwhelming for her due to anxiety around other dogs and strangers, so she needs a confident handler who can be her "bodyguard" and help her feel safe. She does bark when left alone. While she walks on a leash, she still pulls. She is also leash reactive to people and dogs. She is not food aggressive.
