Root Beer

Root Beer is a survivor with a heart of gold and a personality as vibrant as her name! She first came into our care in August 2017 from a difficult hoarding situation where over 40 dogs were rescued. Root Beer bravely battled parvo on the day of her rescue and, thankfully, after dedicated care, she pulled through. Since then, she's been adopted twice and, through those experiences, we've learned what makes her truly happy in a forever home. Root Beer forms a deep bond with one special person in a household, taking on a protective role towards them. She thrives in quieter environments, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and would absolutely adore a single-family home in the suburbs.

Ideal Home

Root Beer needs a home with one adult and no children. She also must be the only animal in the household, meaning no other dogs or cats. She doesn't do well in busy city environments and would be happiest in a suburban setting.

Ongoing Health

Root Beer is a survivor of parvo and has made a full recovery.

Training & Support

Root Beer is housebroken and not destructive. She is highly treat-motivated, making her a joy to train. She already knows basic commands like "Shake," "Toy," "Ball," "Inside," and "Place." She also enjoys puzzle toys and will enthusiastically chase tennis balls.
