About Hershey, the Sweet Sidekick With Just the Right Amount of Playful Spark
I'm Hershey, a 2-year-old, 43 lb mixed breed girl with a playful heart and a very serious love for my humans. Coming home is always an event when I'm around – I get the happiest zoomies because, obviously, the day's best part deserves a celebration! After a little yard time, I settle down beautifully. I'm playful but also easy to live with, enjoying a fun moment and then relaxing into the rhythm of the home. I'm very human-oriented and love pets, cuddles, attention, and being close to my person. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick who wants to be part of your day without making life complicated, I might be your girl. I'm great with strangers and good with dogs of any size, and I could enjoy having another dog in the home, especially one who appreciates a friendly companion with nice manners. I may do best with older, respectful children rather than a very loud or chaotic home. I'm sweet and people-loving, but I'll shine most with a family that understands how special a steady, affectionate dog can be. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, non-destructive, and extremely clean, with good couch manners, which is important because I do enjoy being part of cozy home life. I ride great in the car and am okay on leash, though I can get excited sometimes. I'm food-oriented too, which makes me a fun girl to motivate, reward, and continue training with. At night, I'll go into my crate, but I do have one small requirement: I need my goodnight pets first. Once I get that little bit of love, I understand the assignment and settle in like a good girl. I'm up to date on my vaccinations and ready for a home that appreciates a dog who already has lovely habits, a sweet personality, and a heart that really wants to belong to someone. Before rescue, I was living outside of a washateria in Texas. Now I'm ready for that next chapter and would love a human who wants a sidekick, a home with cozy routines, maybe another dog friend, peaceful evenings, weekend adventures, snowy mornings, and a spot near you where I can feel like I'm exactly where I belong. I'm not looking for just any home; I'm looking for the right match – someone who sees my affectionate nature, my clean habits, my happy zoomies, and my little bedtime routine, and thinks, "That's my kind of dog."
