Flora is a beautiful, smart, and energetic girl whose journey began on a rooftop in Jarretaderas. She was abandoned with two other dogs but was rescued by a dedicated animal welfare officer who helped her find her way to us. Flora has been with us since June 2022, and while she has a lot of love to give, she's not quite the right match for just anyone. She's a high-drive dog who absolutely thrives with structure, plenty of space, and an experienced owner who can provide consistent guidance. Flora generally does well with other dogs but does prefer to be the boss! The busy shelter environment can be a bit overstimulating for her, but she's a fantastic leash walker and incredibly intelligent. With the right training and a confident leader, she's sure to flourish. Flora is loyal, loving, and is patiently waiting for her perfect person – someone who can see her incredible potential and is committed to helping her shine.
Ideal Home
Flora needs a home with a fenced yard or a large property. She would not be a good fit for apartments or condos due to her energy levels and need for space. An experienced adopter who can provide structure and leadership would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Flora is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Flora is intelligent and would benefit greatly from continued training. An experienced adopter who can provide consistent guidance will help her thrive.

Transporation
Flora is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. Approved adopters in the US and Canada are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new companion at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and can be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
