Bear

Bear is a 6-year-old, approximately 18 lb sweetheart looking for his forever home! He's believed to be a Bassett mix due to his adorable short stature. Bear loves all dogs, big or small, and even gets along wonderfully with cats. He's great with kids, too, and is eager to share his abundant love with them. One of Bear's most endearing quirks is his absolute obsession with blankets! He insists on having one, no matter the temperature, and can be found snuggling, playing, and even eating with his beloved blanket always nearby. He's a house and crate-trained, gentle, fun, and playful companion. Bear was surrendered when his elderly owner moved to a nursing home.

Bear would love a home where he can share his love and blankets!

Ongoing Health

Bear will be fixed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and dewormed. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

Training & Support

Bear is house and crate trained.

Transporation

Bear is currently located in Texas but can be transported to the Central US and the East Coast. Transport is available to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA.
