Turner is one of six puppies born to an Akbash mother on a Central Texas ranch, surrounded by goats, longhorn cattle, and working livestock guardian dogs. His father is likely an Akbash or Great Pyrenees. Turner may be a wonderful family companion or future livestock guardian with the right training and supervision.

Ideal Home

Turner has been exposed to goats and cattle, but not chickens. He has had some exposure to barn cats and will need careful introductions and supervision to live with house cats.

Ongoing Health

Turner has received three rounds of vaccinations, deworming, and monthly preventives. Texas law requires puppies to be spayed/neutered within a required timeframe.

Training & Support

Turner will need appropriate training and supervision, including crate-training and potty-training for a home setting. Livestock guardian puppies also need guidance through the stage when they may view livestock as playmates.
