Mona

Mona is a gorgeous 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix with a heart full of love to give! She came to us with other dogs when her previous owner fell on hard times, and now she's ready to find her forever family. Mona is a sweet, smart, and active girl who enjoys the company of other dogs. She's an energetic goofball with a particular fondness for squeaky toys! Volunteers have described her as wonderful, independent, and eager to explore. She walks well on a leash and, with a little guidance, did a great job of listening when asked to return to her spot, even in a busy restaurant setting. Mona is ready to experience the best life, and we hope it's with you!

Ideal Home

Mona would thrive in an active home where she can explore and play. She enjoys gentle guidance and has shown she can listen when directed.

Mona is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Mona is still learning to be a "real dog" and is described as having moments where she wants to greet people and other dogs. With consistent training and positive reinforcement, she'll continue to blossom. She's eager to sniff everything, so continuing leash training will be beneficial.

Transporation

Mona is located in South Carolina. We provide weekly transport to the Northeast. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
